He gets in his car and drives towards his fate.” This subject is translated into a breathtaking cinematic construction—LA GLACE À TROIS FACES is the culmination of the conception of modern cinema à la Epstein anticipated by SIX ET DEMI, ONZE (1926). The way the man tears along the road is depicted through bold montage and different variations in speed, which stands in stark contrast to the memories of his lovers, who produce three entirely different descriptions of the same person.
